Senior Applications Engineer will be part of the DCDC Applications Engineering team and will work closely with design, product engineering, marketing, FAEs, and customers to support new DC-DC power products from product evaluation through design-in and production. The role requires hands-on bench evaluation/characterization, customer design support, competitive analysis, failure/debug support, and development of evaluation boards and technical collateral.


Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with customers and FAEs to support DC-DC product selection, design-in, schematic/layout review, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Work closely with DCDC design and product engineering teams to evaluate and characterize new products across operating conditions.
• Perform hands-on bench testing.
• Analyze characterization results and generate technical data plots/waveforms for datasheets, application notes, evaluation reports, and design recommendations.
• Support customer issues and failure analysis by reproducing problems, defining bench experiments, reviewing waveforms, and driving technical root-cause investigation.
• Develop and validate evaluation boards, reference designs, and demonstration platforms, including schematic and PCB layout review.
• Perform competitive benchmarking and provide market/competitor technical analysis to support product definition and positioning.
• Coordinate effectively with global cross-functional teams and provide timely technical communication to internal and external customers.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in power management / DC-DC applications engineering, power electronics, or related semiconductor field
• Strong fundamentals in power electronics and switching DC-DC converters (buck, boost, buck-boost and related topologies).
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, power supplies, DMMs, and other power-conversion lab equipment.
• Experience with schematic and PCB layout review; familiarity with PADS, KiCad, Altium, or similar tools is preferred.
• Experience with SIMPLIS, PSpice, LTspice, or similar power simulation tools is preferred.
• Understanding of control-loop/stability, power-stage component selection, thermal design, EMI/EMC, and protection features is preferred.
• Automotive or industrial power-management experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and interact directly with customers and global teams.
• Computer Skills: MS Office; schematic/layout tools; circuit simulation and lab data-analysis tools
